Recruiter I (Family-Focused Industry) and Campus Recruiting Lead

If you love kids and an active workplace, and you're passionate about placing great new team members in positions which are the right fit for them, we have your ideal role! Report to our home office location and provide talent acquisition/recruiting and on-boarding support for several of Emler's 15 swim schools and locations, enabling hiring managers and leaders to meet their staffing needs (filling both full-time and part-time positions).

This high-volume role is for a problem solver, someone who has a passion for connecting people to roles that they were born for and placing them into a fast-paced and fun environment, while emphasizing the right fit for the right candidate over filling empty spots. It requires a positive personality which people are naturally drawn to! 

Main Responsibilities

  • Manages full life cycle of the recruiting process to create a quality and effective hiring experience for candidates and hiring managers. Includes reviewing and screening applications/resumes; conducting interviews (phone, web meeting and in person) with candidates to obtain education, work history, training, job skills and salary requirements. Provides candidate information to hiring managers in preparation for on-site interviews. Conducts reference checks and pre-employment background checks and drug screens as required.  
  • Build strong campus relationships (and other community groups) to create a brand presence and attract recent/soon-to-be college graduates
  • Interviews candidates over the phone and web, as well as in swim schools (surrounded by families, kids and coworkers)
  • Attracts and manages a large enough pipeline of capable, caring, qualified candidates to meet the staffing goals of hiring managers in multiple Emler locations
  • Researches, identifies and manages a variety of recruiting resources including internet, career recruiting events, and printed advertising initiatives for both exempt and non-exempt opportunities as applicable
  • Creates and/or modifies company recruiting/onboarding best practices
  • Develops and maintains excellent working relationships  with hiring managers, business partners, and  candidates
  • Anticipates short and long-term talent acquisition needs and proposes solutions for meeting them
     

Requirements

  • One or more years experience in recruiting with understanding of all life-cycle recruiting activities including sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, relationship management and candidate due diligence
  • Internet-savvy and experienced placing job board postings and conducting online mining of resume databases
  • Capable of managing a high volume of job postings and candidates in applicant tracking system
  • Great as staying flexible and adaptable with a can-do outlook while handling and prioritizing multiple (sometimes competing) assignments
  • Love to get things done, meet objectives, and overcome challenges, working independently with solid judgment in a collaborative team environment
  • People person with excellent interpersonal skills, including customer focus, and relationship management skills
  • Great communicator with excellent writing and oral skills - must be able to interact and correspond in a fun and friendly way, clearly and efficiently sharing important details 
  • Skilled at tracking results, watching trends, and using data to make decisions -  data analysis experience (using excel, or other database or spreadsheet tools)
  • Discretion - you naturally maintain confidentiality of sensitive information 
  • A natural with the details - must be highly organized and detail oriented with strong project management skills and history of follow through
